Elisha + Ed's Simmer on The Bay, Sydney Wedding

"I'm probably going to marry this guy," was Elisha's thought on the night she met Ed.

They live a street away from each other and met through friends when Ed had a house party.

"We got to know each other over a random, boozy, late night meal and the next day, I had a Facebook message asking me out for date."

Tell us a little about the proposal and the lead up to the wedding.

The lead up to the proposal was busy, hot as hell and frustrating! Packing up our house to move from Perth to Sydney while his parents wee staying with us. End of the day, 40 degrees, Ed decides we should drive to the park to take photos of the car we were trying to sell. I reluctantly agreed. As he was taking photos, he asked if he could take one of me in front of this big beautiful flame tree. I only let him take one from behind, because I was gross and sweaty. It turned around and he was on one knee with a ring! Shocked, I think I asked if he was serious about 5 times while he was grinning from ear to ear and then started crying and said yes! Then selfies and went home to tell the family.

Advice for other couples planning a wedding?

Don't second guess yourself (you've got this!). After all of our procrastination and indecision, we always seemed to settle on our original choices.
